Why is it important?

Food insecurity remains a key problem in many sub-Saharan African (SSA) countries. In fact, it is a reflection of high poverty levels. Finding optimal solutions to address SSA's food insecurity problem requires that we understand the key socioeconomic drivers at the household level.

Perspectives

Only by understanding the socioeconomic determinants of food insecurity can we put in place optimal policies to address the problem.
