What is it about?
A baby less than a month old presented with significant blood in stools requiring blood transfusion. It was found to be due to a large tumor in the stomach which was successfully operated. The baby will do well and requires no further therapy

Why is it important?
Gastric teratoma is a locally aggressive tumor which can be present from when the child is in the womb. Surgery is curative
